Day 535 - January 31, 2011

Can you believe I'm already 25 weeks pregnant?! I'll be entering the home stretch (also known as the 3rd trimester) in no time. Itty bitty is already 1 1/2 lbs and has a personality all her own. Our little diva showed the midwife who's boss last week at our appointment by kicking her hand every single time she touched my belly. Baby girl is a very active little one, but luckily she hasn't kept me from a good night's sleep just yet. Those days will come, I'm sure. I grabbed a clementine for an afternoon snack the other day and the sticker on the orange peel took the words right out of my mouth. Some days I just feel like there's a "party in my tummy!"

Are you following any type of fitness routine (aside from basking in the glorious Cali sunshine and swimming)?

Hi Raneem,

I haven't been following any specific fitness routine, but I do make sure I get up and move every day. It would be easy to sit on the couch in front of my computer and TV all day. With such beautiful weather here in California, I make sure I get outside almost every day and usually go for a 20-30 minute walk around the marina. I also do some light weights or use my resistance band along with squats, lunges, etc every other day to keep my body strong. I was in pretty good shape going into the pregnancy so that has definitely helped. I'm excited to get back into Pilates once she's born, but for now I'm not stressing about gaining weight. My focus is on being as healthy as I can for my baby girl!

Yeah I wouldn't be too concerned about weight gain either. I was looking up some stuff and I heard that staying fit really helps with the labour process, so I thought I should ask! And you look marvelous by the way! :)
