Day 221 - August 8, 2016

You may have noticed an abundance of pictures of the girls with fruit in the last 8 weeks. While Adelyn and Briar love basically every fruit that exists, there was a much more exciting reason for all the photos. In case you missed the big announcement post yesterday, we're expecting baby #3 in January! Each week, starting back in June with a tiny blueberry, the girls have been taking turns holding a piece of fruit that represents the size of their growing baby sibling. Now, at 16 weeks pregnant, our baby is about 4.6 inches or roughly the length of an avocado!

The girls couldn't be more thrilled to welcome a new baby sibling. These days, they are most often found playing with their baby doll. They pretend to be pregnant by stuffing a doll up their dress, they get check-ups from the midwife, deliver their babies, and nurse their dolls. Briar spends most of her day playing "Mommy" where she dresses up in high heels with a purse over her shoulder and a baby in her arms. Both girls constantly approach my growing belly and ask to kiss the baby. Speaking of, here are the first belly shots taken last week in Malibu at 15 weeks pregnant.

We love you, little one! Your Daddy, big sisters and I can't wait to meet you!
