It would be easy, after the events of yesterday afternoon, to live this day in fear. To let the darkness consume us. To let our minds replay the moments we walked through when we came home from our Christmas Eve service. Instead, we remember the excitement on our girl's faces as they walked out of church to find it snowing in L.A. We replay the moments they danced in the grass as a snow machine covered them in flakes of white. Today, on Christmas Day, we choose joy. We choose to celebrate the Light of the World come down from heaven for us. Today, we rejoice. We smile. We laugh. We make memories. We sing "Happy Birthday to Jesus." Today, we remember that His light can never be overcome by darkness. Today, we give thanks.
