Day 113 - April 22, 2016

In honor of Earth Day, we decided to spend the afternoon outside in the backyard enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. We climbed trees, played catch, pushed each other on the swing, made up parachute games, and took turns being the photographer. I never regret giving the girls the camera. I love the little moments they capture. Feeling very thankful for my wonderful daughters today.

Addy often asks to make "Nerdy Nummies." (Last year, she was obsessed with watching nerdy nummies videos on YouTube.) I give her some combination of fresh fruit or vegetables, peanut butter, honey, seeds/nuts, dried fruit and occasionally chocolate chips and she goes to work making creative snacks for us to enjoy!

Day 92 - April 1, 2016

Pizza for dinner every Friday night has been a tradition in our family from as far back as I can remember. I'm not sure exactly when or how it began though I wonder if my mother started pizza night so that she would have one less day to worry about what she was going to feed 4 hungry children. I know that I look forward to Friday dinners for this very reason, not to mention, it's a meal our girls eagerly anticipate all week. On Fridays, I am asked, from the moment Adelyn wakes up, "Is it supper time yet? Can we make pizza now? How many minutes until we can eat pizza?" I have a feeling this is a tradition my girls will continue with their families one day.
